Hey I will also be studying neuroscience here next year - at the moment, I am on a foundation year as I never did A levels bio and chem
I just feel really homesick and this has been the case since september
But other reasons are...
It's difficult to make friends here if you don't want to drink or go clubbing
At time night, students are shouting and vomiting on the streets and on the bus
I don't like the city here and I find the campus to be a bit dull
The library is crap
My housemates are okayish, but they speak in their own language and I get the feeling that sometimes they talk about me
When I was living by the seafront before I came here, my flatmates used to drink a lot - watching them do so and seeing the horrendous state of the flat made me feel sick
The students union could be much better than how it is now
Please don't be put off because I am saying this. If you have seen the university and you like it, then firm if you like. I've just had a bad experience here and yours could be better
