Argh, looks like I've got a group of kids to come over for tutoring, not too much time for work. Did you have another mock today? How was it?

Same, I think my student might show up today. I like to work while he's there though, it's more of a group study that way.

Yeah, I had Chem 5. T'was much better than I expected but still not great. I'm uncertain of one whole question which none of us could do but I guess that's what mocks are for

Not looking forward to hypothesis testing - S2 and Moments - M2.

They're really not that bad! I find hypothesis tests quite enjoyable. Moments are alright as well, not too difficult unless it's a really awkward question like in a few IAL papers.

But it's **** 'innit all that correlation/regression crap?

Yeh, there is some expectation algebra in there tho, more useful for step then S4 definately. I meed to start S4 actually..,.

Ah, lucky! Mine are ~12 years old and I can't really work on my own stuff.

Yeah, Expectation algebra is the only thing that swings me over. I'll need to find an online PDF of the textbook. Joy.

Update:

Had my lessons, kids are gone now. Took a break and watched some Flash, think I might work on some FP3 vectors, I've had a quick skim and I seem to most of it somehow  so hopefully it won't need anything except some brushing up.

Somebody gave me a STEP I probability question to do, couldn't do it. I'm not sure why I'm bothering applying for maths, I can't even do STEP I and it's already mid-Feb.

It's all counting; and when it's not counting it's integration. Get to it!

Counting is horrid! This one was a Poisson problem and I think my main problem is with interpreting the textual scenario into mathematics. It's Question 13 here, if you're interested.

You dont need to find step I trivial.

Really? It's fairly disheartening. How do you find STEP I?

Your not supposed be able to do all 13 questions on step I papers. I find it nice but I do pure always find 6 there and mechanics if the pure dont like me.
I normally mess up one and get all the others perfect.
Step I is only abit easier then II. Not miles.
I know tons of people who got grade 1 in I and got it in II and III aswell.
