A level Business more useful than A level maths?

Hey everyone,
Recently I had spoken to my Business Studies teacher due to the reason that I would like to drop Business Studies A level. I'm interested in studying Business management/Economics at university and she stated business A level would be more useful, that universities would favour A level business students over the other students. However I had looked at the entry requirements and no university has stated Business as a preferred A level.
Maths is more demanding and more respected by universities, and I believe it is necessary for some economics courses (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Your teacher probably just wants you to stay on the course, can you not drop another subject?
Yes. You can get into econ and bussiness degree with maths. Infact even top unis like LSE dont list econ/bussiness as an essentail but maths is.

I think she just wants you to stay on her course. From most cases I've seen, Maths is always more preferred. Be cautious though as it's a fair bit harder for most people.
