Has anyone tried the life in the uk test?

Hasn't citizenpaper.co.uk got all the tests on there rather than a sample of only a few questions?

Oh good point there. How much would it cost to do the real thing then?

It costs £50 for each attempt, according to the official website.

I'm not sure because I've never actually used that website myself.

Also, you need to quote me for me to get a notification saying that you've replied to me.

Well we should be chuffed because the scam site thought they had set the questions so that no-one could pass it! If everyone fails they will all be inclined to buy the book.
I scored 75% and apparently that's not good enough...

This whole "life in the UK test" thing does not make sense.

If British born people don't know the answers then let alone foreigners.

The questions that come up......we don't even learn the topics at GCSE history.

It's a pass, which is good enough.

Did a couple of tests on the link in the OP (failed but got 75%, so not too bad imo) and the questions are just ridiculous, where was Emmeline Pankhurst born, which centuries did the first Christian communities form in Britain, who drafted these tests, they're completely pointless and irrelevant :lolwut:

Wouldn't a better test be a test of morals and values perhaps, how does asking potential citizens to memorise dates in British history help anyone?

Edit: The Independent's test was much easier than the ones on the citizenpaper site, 23/24

It's obviously broken, then. The pass mark for the real thing is 75 percent.
