As a Kanye fan who found the statement a bit stupid, before you guys hate on Kanye as a musician remember that the 3 publications he quoted did rate his album as follows:
Pitchfork: 9/10 It also awarded the intro track a BNM which it only gives to tracks it features as 'Best New Music'
Rolling Stones: 4.5/5
NYT: As far as I know doesn't use a numerical rating system but it was a positive review.

So it's not like Kanye is saying that because he got poor reviews, in fact I think this is the highest rating pitchfork has given an album this month and possibly this year (the last 9/10 review was given in October).

So please don't spout that he is talentless unless you claim to know better than most critics, he also has the most grammy awards of the 21st century so he is at the very least - talented.
