Thanks for the sensible question

I love Nakd bars, but I'd definitely say the Alpro vegan desserts that come in chocolate, vanilla, and caramel although I try to avoid processed sugars so I don't eat them much

That's ok

I haven't tried those but I love alpro hazelnut milk :h:

We have five vegan staff members in TSR - we're very vegan friendly and one of them has won the weekly bake off challenge 5 times - more than any other staff member. We take our plant based grub seriously

Is anyone else in your family vegan?
Original post by Zaclowton
That's a completely illogical statement. Meat contains saturated fats therefore causes illnesses, can we free the meat (specifically red meat) of saturated fats before eating it? No, hence the fat comes with the meat. I didn't mention anything about cancer in my original comment

Again, it is the saturated fat in animal protein that causes CHDs and other linked dieases. Chicken breasts and very lean cut meat will have minimimal thus negligible amounts of saturated fat. I am still waiting for some scientific literature on your behalf since you are talking gibberish.

How do you know when someone is vegan?

Nope, I've been vegan around 2 months so I'm trying to slip some knowledge in to their lives without being a preacher in my own home

Would be great to have some more vegans around me though

I haven't got experience in this because I just went straight to being Vegan so I'm not the best person to ask. Just try taper down your consumption of animal products and start reading food labels to see what contains milk, eggs etc.

Thanks

It is true and has been proven time and time again. Please elaborate with specifics and I'd be happy to provide facts.

You, yourself don't seem to know much about this either

I'm vegan and this offends me.

In facr I was at someone for dinner once and they got pissed of becasue I didn't mention that I was a vegan. Yet If i said i was vegan i would probably get 'omg stop telling everyone you attention seeker blah blah blah.'

Have you tried soy & coconut milk? If so, which is your best of the 3? Bought coconut milk and it tastes revolting:frown:

Thanks

Also try and make a connection with the ethical down sides of the dairy and egg industries. I'd recommend 'Earthlings' on YouTube and anything by Gary Yourofsky.

If you went Vegetarian because you don't like animals being killed, then I'd look in to the fact that Male chicks are slaughtered in their millions because they are useless to the egg industry and dairy cows have their calves taken from them. There's a lot of things to explore but try and make that ethical connection and then cutting things out becomes easy

Why do you feel Jeb Bush isn't getting as many votes as he expected, and do you feel that Bernie Sanders is a viable choice for president given the fact that he has almost a purely socialist agenda?

You've been vegan for 2 months? Mate that isn't long enough to form habits yet! That can take >3 months.

I kept it quiet for 2 months, I needed to crack on and explore it with no judgement. They'll come round but it's best not to preach, just introduce to them to all your yummy food and they'll start to think about food differently.

There are lots of vegans on TSR, we're all about if you need us

It's interesting, and quite scandalous to be honest. Why do doctors recommend so many meats if its "very destructive to our health?"

& is breastmilk vegan?

Don't need to form a habit. A complete change in consciousness and mentality makes it so easy to be vegan
