I met my long term boyfriend on TSR - we now live together.

However, what I will say is that
a) we were both mods at the time, so I knew that he was who he said he was
b) we met in person, in public places and with other TSR mods long before we even realised we liked each other

Which meant that it was pretty safe.

All the usual internet safety stuff applies here, however. Video call them to check it's not a 40 year old bloke posing as a nice young girl. Meet in a public place. Tell somewhere where you're going, who you're meeting and when you'll be back. If it doesn't feel right, then don't continue with it. Don't end up like Breck Bednar.

You should be happy you feel this way and trust the person utterly if you are in love with them. Why do you have these concerns about him hurting you if you are in love with him. I am in love with someone myself at the moment and from the moment at starting falling in love with her I haven't doubted her or thought she could ever hurt me. She makes me feel contend and like I am not alone anymore. Does he make you feel like that? I don't know why you are worrying about meeting him and being hurt, unless you have been hurt a number of times before?
