Hey! I've just been allocated to Cuth's with an unconditional to do Anthropology BA. My college choice was totally random, I actually haven't visited yet! Did you visit Cuth's beforehand?? I really want to know more about it

@melissafrat I'm a gap year student too

Yay! Congratulations for your offer!! See you in October ☺️

I got my offer for Criminology and I also got allocated my choice university campus - University College ! however I am so worried about October , I will be 20 when the course starts and I am not your typical student, I'm a bit of a loud mouth geordie girl who could be likened to the girls from Geordie Shore.. Don't get me wrong I can get on with anyone and love socialising with people from all backgrounds I'm just very worried I wont make any friends who share the same interests as me and will be left out because having watched the university promotion videos its got me very worried I will be an outsider.

Hi there. What sort of things are you interested in? I wouldn't worry about promotional videos too much tbh. They look so set up  (I also got allocated to university college)

Oh thats really interesting! I cant really associate myself with the girly things haha but i've always wanted a dog but my parents wont let me >.< Currently I'm on a gap year and in a VERY challenging position where I have to choose between UCL, Durham and Warwick for chemistry :s-smilie: Its important to take into account though that people can be friends with those that don't entirely share their interests. My friends would laugh at the idea of me being very outgoing but Im trying to get out of my comfort zone from time to time :/ what kind of music and films do you like?

Just wondering, you mentioned earlier you're a mature applicant! I am, too! I was wondering what you applied with? A Levels, Access, etc? And what offer they made to you? x

I applied with A levels! I got them back in 2012 - they made an unconditional offer but my grades were A*A*B plus a few years' experience working in Communications so I suppose that helped. What about you?

Oh awesome! I'm at Trevelyan/Trevs! https://www.facebook.com/groups/1637253983165983/ You can find other people doing English/going to Grey's on here!

Awesome, thanks for the link that's really helpful

Those are fantastic, well done! I'm 28, had a bad time at school for reasons and did horribly - not a single full A-Level to name and 4 horrible AS levels, took a decade out to work and travel a lot and then joined Open Uni hoping to get back into university education again, so I'm applying to everywhere with Open University credits.
My grade average is around 82 overall which is not quite a distinction (First class) but is a very high 2:1  It's always nice meeting other mature applicants!

Oh great! Your experience sounds really varied and interesting - well done for making the big step to go back into HE! It is nice to meet other mature applicants, I think having that gap since sixth form/school can be daunting so the support really helps. Good luck with all your applications and let me know how you get on with Durham!

Best of luck to you, too! Seems Durham offers are becoming more frequent so hopefully we won't have to wait too long!
did anyone who got rejected get offered to apply for another course on their referral program? if you did, which course did you apply for?
I applied to read History on the first week of October but still haven't heard anything back - is anybody else in the same position?
