True, trying not to. But just made me think more on it any way. I don't know why they didn't open the tests up about a month before the applications, that way you could get sifted out before you had spent all the time on your application.

Probably to stop people making fake applications to practice.

people who's status changed to longlisted did you complete the tests early on?

Yeah did mine about a week and a half before deadline

I think we should stop trying to find a pattern or logic in this system or we'll drive ourselves mad.

Too late for that now I think
Been speaking to a friend who is an stp trainee. This system they use has always been a bit of a joke I think!

Logic practice plus paranoia.
On my Oriel I have a tick next to one of my specialisms. Anyone know what this means?

Is it a green tick? As far as I know it means your application has been submitted.

Just one of your specialisms? That's weird, I'm fairly sure I have always had ticks next to both of mine I think it just means they were submitted successfully. That's assuming we are taking about the same ticks!!
So I got a response saying they had no idea what I saw as nothing had changed on their system. So I've sent them a photo of what I saw...and asked for clarification for everyone. It's not fair at all what they are doing
image.jpgThis is the tick I have, I thought maybe it was because that was my first choice, but if other people have two ticks then I'm not sure :/

What?!! That is ridiculous, surely someone somewhere must know what happened, it's not just like yours was an isolated incidence!! It's so rude that they essentially seem to be saying you're bs-ing!

That does seem unusual, it may be worth contacting them about it before they start the shortlisting

I know right, I'm awaiting a reply. Good job I took a photo really. They honestly don't seem to know what's going on....not very confidence inspiring at all!

That's a shame, but if the successfuls were wrong, there is a chance an unsuccessful notification could be wrong too.
