Kurdish led forces capture Shaddadi from ISIS

The Syrian Democratic Forces, a coalition of the Kurdish YPG and allied groups, has captured the town of Shaddadi from ISIS, along with some other villages. The town was an ISIS stronghold, and is in Hassakeh province in the north east near the Iraqi border.

The town was taken in a 3 day offensive backed by coalition air strikes. Oil fields have also been captured.

isis have essentially lost iraq, losing syria - they are now trying to flood libya.
