Why do women want the guy to be dominant in pretty much every way?

If you look at general female preferences and choices when it comes to men they rarely differ from these main ''guidelines'' :

- most want the guy to be taller
- most want the guy to ask them out, plan dates, call back, propose, basically to take charge and be more confident than them
- most want a guy who is at least as educated and/or intelligent as them
- most want the man to be dominant in bed
- most want a guy who isn't too emotional and is in control when **** hits the fan
- most women love older men
- most women love dating and marrying men who earn more and are higher in the career ladder

We live in a world where young women make more more than young men, they do better in school, they earn the majority of college degrees with the gap getting higher every year, they wear whatever they want and have as many sexual partners as they like. So why do women still behave like they did hundreds of years ago when their rights and opportunities were not much better than that of a battery chicken? Why this great need for male dominance and leadership?

its like generalising saying:

men want super models

men want younger women

men want shorter girls than them

men want curvy women

its just generalisations and not always the case but dominant men are :u:

Nothing you said is incorrect. However, it is biology, there is a primal instinct in women that urges them to find a dominant man. If we didn't have this, then we as a species wouldn't be where we are now, so I'm grateful for it.
Because it takes so long to have - not to mention to raise - a baby that they want to seek out the best man possible.

Since all men have to do is spunk up in a woman after a few minutes' pumping they will basically have anyone: even if they do make a baby with a sub-par girl they don't have to wait nine months (or seven years) to put it right, they can do it within the hour.

Women are also time limited in their fertility, maximum of 25 years traditionally. So they only get a certain number of bites at the cherry, even if constantly pumping out babies the most a woman can have is 33.

Men do want all those things, we know there are exceptions, we are talking about in general.

Most girls will read the OP and will instantly think ''sexist'', ''generalizations'' or ''socialization'' (basically something something patriarchy), it's unreal how few western women acknowledge innate differences between men and women. Or is it because the type of girl who replies to this type of thread has already been processed through the marxist/feminist/leftist academia machine?

The few girls who do keep it real are usually STEM students and/or non-white, non-middle class.

Because half a semester of Gender studies 101 isn't enough to undo millions of years of biology.

Pseudo biology alarm

I would say two things. Firstly, the dom/sub scene seems to be fashionable at the moment in both literature and film. Secondly, perhaps part of it as a reaction against our super "equalised" society.

Who can say?

Shrugging,

SS
I was watching a very interesting documentary called MenInPain and the woman seems to be in control on that. Clearly depends on the woman and stuff.
Good points tbh.

Please explain how the majority of the things you listed mean being dominant.

Are you asking why a guy who is taller, smarter, older, more assertive, more confident, more sexually experienced, more emotionally stable and has a better job/income is dominant? I don't even....

Yes, explain why because most of these don't make you more dominant.

you seem to be socially/mentally underdeveloped, or perhaps autistic then

lol...normally I would assume troll but this is TSR so.....

So how about you explain the following making you more dominant then:
Being taller
Being intelligent
Not being too emotional
Being older

Being taller- more physically powerful and you have a larger presence

Being intelligent- more likely to earn money and be dominant socially and professionally

Not being too emotional- keeps a calm head and is more rational- perhaps even a bit manipulative, so definitely dominant

Being older- having more experience and leads the way- dominant.

I would have thought this to be obvious to even any semi-functioning 14 year old

I don't agree with the OP, but you're being a little silly here.

-Taller: Physical dominance. (generally) More body mass, more imposing figure.
-Intelligence : If one partner is more intelligent than the other (or at least believed to be) that partner will be seen as more persuasive and have the "deciding vote" in arguments about finances etc.
- Emotional intelligence (Because I hate the term "emotional" on it's own): Similar to above, in emotional dilemmas the more EI partner will be given greater respect for his or her input.
- Age: More experience which may increase intelligence or EI. + the "respect your elders" drummed into us since birth.
