Best Accommodation at NTU?

Hey! I'm searching for a good accommodation place at NTU, but I would like a twin room, so I was thinking of Simpsons hall because it's the most balanced in terms of price. Still, before booking, I would like to know what people think of it. Is it too far away from the city site? Does it have a friendly envirmonment? etc.. Thanks!

Hi Inesramosmelo,

Simpsons is situated in Lenton, which is a very popular area for students from both uni's in Nottingham to live in. So there are many student-friendly bars, clubs and takeaways nearby. Simpsons is also about a 25 minute walk from our City site (or a 10 minute bus ride), so not too far from our City site, and as you will be living with other NTU students you can walk to uni/catch the bus with them.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions! :h:

Thanks,

Ellen

Hi!

Thank you for answering, I'm also thinking about Sandby halls because it's much closer to the city site than the Simpsons one. Have you got any opinions regarding it?

Hi Ines

I am very familiar with Sandby, as I lived opposite it in my first year! Sandby is on our city site, between two other residences; Hampden and Byron. It is literally a 2 minute walk to the Student's Union, the Library, and some of the bigger teaching buildings (Newton and Chaucer). It is also about a 5 minute walk into Nottingham's city centre. So very close to a lot of amenities!

If you did decide to live in Sandby, you would not be in a flat like most of our other residences. Each floor has a group of 12/13 bedrooms, two fully-equipped kitchens, and a common room. So it is very easy to socialise with lots of different people! However, you do have some privacy, as the rooms in Sandby do come with your own en-suite, so you will have your own private bathroom.

I hope this helps when making your decision, and if you have any more questions please let me know!

Thanks,

Ellen
