Well that explains it all.
Back in high school, we had this Ethics teacher who was really unpopular and quite unpleasant to deal with on a daily basis. He would lower your grade because the tone in which you'd answer the question, and other such details. Noteworthy detail is that he had a prominent mono-brow.

One day, just close to Christmas break, he called me up to the front of the class for a verbal examination. I got all of the questions correctly, but he kept going on and on with sub-questions and kept nitpicking. So I get quite angry and clearly frustrated and he keeps making snide comments. Then he asked me: "What is monotheism?" And I'm like "Monotheism is belief in one God or deity, we know this because mono means one, just like mono-brow."

He sent me out to "gather my senses" and to "learn some respect".
