Is this a good way of revising all of the information?

I will mainly use this method for the GCSEs that require you to remember a lot of things:

1. Get the specification for the GCSE you are doing.
2. Use it as a check list to create flash cards.
3. Revise and remember the information using the flash cards.
4. Use extra support such as past papers to practise exam technique and to test your knowledge.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until confident.

Is this a good way of revising all of the information? Am I correct to think the exam board can only test you on the things listed in the specification?

Thank you.
This is exactly how I revise!!
I think its a great way to revise and yes, the board can only test you on what is in the specification
