You're acting as if we've given up on top 4. We need that just as much as they need the title and its not as if we're going into this game high on confidence. Both teams desperately need a win and it'll probably be decided by a deflection or a piece of brilliance.
Judging by the players reactions and interviews, yes it does feel like we kinda expect not to make the top 4. Even van Gaal seems to echo those thoughts. We can't string a run together to make top 4 plus who in the current top 4 would drop out so we could replace them? None. All the teams above us are far better.

Better teams don't always reap the rewards. Especially in games.
But over a full league season they do. Simply put, we've left ourselves too much to do even if the gap is 6 points. All the teams above us are far more consistent and deservedly occupy the top 4 places. Leicester aren't going away, Arsenal always make top 4, Spurs look ridiculously good this season and finally have a backbone and City have far too much quality to not get them over the line for a top 4 finish.

If De Gea is out, then it'll be a hammering. Arsenal will want to bounce back from the Barca defeat and reaffirm their title challenge. They'll make a statement against us at OT, I really fear an embarrassing smashing.
Ok but we'll be brimming with confidence after thrashing the mighty Midtjylland and we'll also have Memtiano Depaldo tearing through their defence as if it's not even there. Romero will take on de Gea's spirit just like he did in the away leg vs Midtjylland, batting away shots left, right and centre. Sanchez will be left feeling confused by Blind.
Memphis will end Bellerin's career. Hope Rashford doesn't start though, Koscielny will have him in his pocket. Rather go 4-2-2-2 again with Memphis and Lingard as inside forwards.

We'll get through this game easily.
Haha xD. We'll need an incredible performance to beat Arsenal at the weekend. Its possible but I don't expect our team to show up. Plus 3 games inside 7 days, it'll show when we face Arsenal.
I wouldn't play Memphis up front based off tonight's performance, he was much better when he was given the ball to feet rather than trying to get in behind.
Hopefully Smalling's back...
