van Gaal expects De Gea to return against Arsenal. Great news so now it'll probably be a 1-0 loss rather than a 3-0 loss

Unless the youngsters are good enough for a title challenge, they shouldn't be starting regularly, anyway. There is no point in hiring Mourinho and telling him how to do the job here. If he thinks the young players are good enough, he will play them.

They will never get to that standard if they never play first team football.

Pls.
We surprise ourselves sometimes and do ridiculous things like beat Chelsea and City.

Still can't believe you did the double over us this season. Embarrassed isn't even the word...

:colonhash:

You're garbage this season m8 yet somehow manage to pull off results in the big games.
From a United fan perspective I'd be really pissed off that you've messed it all up in games you should be winning.

Damn calls us Garbage yet Liverpool sit below United in the table.

We won't mess it up, beating Liverpool has proven to be by far the most favourite task for van Gaal. We won't win the Europa League but I'll be happy we knocked you lot out.

He's in denial. City will take them apart in the CC and then we'll knock them out of the Europa League. Klopp will manage Liverpool to finishing 10th in the league but of course man like Lucio will say its progress.

Lol so cos a manager gave him a debut that means he's done good with bringing up that player?

Let's ignore Varane as well.

As well as doing away with more experienced players if he didn't think they were good enough. Ancelotti didn't use Casillas either and he almost cost them the Champions League.

Varane lol that's not youth in the slightest. It's like saying Zouma is youth for Chelsea. Complete ******** to bring him up. If anything, I give Mourinho a lot of credit for Davide Santon. Balotelli he used quite a lot too(prior to 13/14 Balotelli had made his most appearances under Mourinho) but he was already established somewhat in the first team under Mancini. Credit where it's due at Inter too, porto it's a given for any manager there.

Casillas well it was clear Mourinho made the right call. The way he executed it could have been better but he was completely spot on with Casillas.

However why does Ivanovic still start under Mourinho despite having the top 3 LBs in the world and on our bench and a better RB playing out of position?

Saying that Mourinho will only use youth is his hand is forced or they are very talented and do not need a lot of work.

At most in his Chelsea days the only youth he misused was Bertrand and it's yet to be seen if Loftus Cheek is good enough.

At Real Madrid Higuain and Benzema were above Morata in the pecking order and Jese had to contend a spot with Ozil/Ronaldo/Di Maria/Benzema/Higuain/Callejon.

I rate Guardiola for having the ability to mix things up, but he's not really used youth at Bayern the way he did at Barcelona e.g. He's not brought through a player from the academy as a first teamer like he did so well at Barcelona. Van Gaal is too much on the other side, but you'd argue that at every big club he's managed, he's been responsible for bringing through young first teamers from academy to being mainstays in the first team.

Because he had already been playing regularly at RC Lens. There's a difference between playing talented young players with experience and giving young players with inexperience a chance to develop(which is what I assume most people say using youth is and not this FM style buy the best young players and use them and say that you're good with youth).

Otherwise Martial is a youth player for Man United and Zouma is youth for Chelsea as we bought him when he was 19 years of age. If you can truly say that Martial is youth, then Varane is also youth.

Heh of course a player under the age of 21 is termed as a youth player. It doesn't matter how consistently they played in another league, Mourinho took a risk by playing him in the Spanish league which is head and shoulders above the French league.

So united fans have picked of the Barton of defending moutinho's crap. Don't forget guys, it's all mindness games.

He still brought him in and wasn't afraid to play him in the big games and displace Ramos or Pepe, that was my point.
Mourinho was completely scapegoated for the Casillas decision, despite Ancelotti making the same decision.

Mate, anytime I slagged off Ivanovic earlier this season you defended him and said I was wrong. You're ridiculously wishy-washy. Not exactly surprising though, with this whole pseudo-intellectual football act you've got going on.

Nonce
This argument is only happening cause United fans think Mourinho will be our next manager. Otherwise, no way would they be defending him FFS.
