Won his first FA Cup in 1990, first league title in 92. What about when Roman and later the Arabs took charge of Chelsea and City, that was hardly a massive advantage of United and they still won leagues regularly. So saying that they had money is a piss poor argument really. Facts are facts SAF was always a better manager than Wenger.

OK and what positions did he finish in between the time for his first league title please? My argument is between 98-04 and in the original post I stated there was not much between them. I didn't say Wenger was a better manager. So now you look like an idiot, because I was right. Let's summarise because I think this is hurting your little brain.

1997-2005 (1997 due to wengers first full season)

Honours:
Wenger - 3x PL, 4x FA Cup.
Fergie - 4x PL, 3x FA Cup.

Money spent: I haven't got the exact figures but Fergie outspent Wenger by an absolutely mile. Will update post later.

My original statement: along the lines of its harsh to say Fergie was a much better manager than Wenger given the two were almost equal on a level playing field.

Not much controversy in that statement from those stats and figures. Overreaction from a kid because we lost a game? No, but my statement wasn't unbelievable either.
I mean I want to report his posts, but if I do they'll get deleted and there will be no way for future generations to discover Alli's last 10-15 posts and work out where human civilization went so wrong.

SAF won the league 5 times between 97 and 05. Also won the CL. You look like an idiot now. There was plenty between them between those years.

You go on to say Wenger was near Fergie's level when there was a level playing field, and then you go on to say that Ferguson spent much more money then Wenger, implying there wasn't a level playing field. Make your mind up.

BTW your condescending shouts by calling me a kid and whatnot are pretty embarrassing. Atrocious banter.

Can you read? There's one L.

You keep making generic statements for rep but never actually argue the topic. Like I said, worst poster on this thread. There's a reason you've received several bans and it's not because you're a nonce.

Operation yewtree are going to look at his posts in 20 years time and wonder how they missed the signs.

SAF won the league 6 times between 97 and 05. Also won the CL. You look like an idiot now. There was plenty between them between those years.

Can you count???? Where did 6 come from?? 99, 2000, 2001 and 2003. I count 4. I'm guessing you don't take A-level maths. I forgot about the CL. But you still look the idiot.

And thanks for backing up my argument. You're right, it wasn't a level playing field as Wenger was fighting against the Giants that is Man Utd who were spending freely and he still held an astonishing record over Fergie in head to head games and had only won one less league title and CL and had won one more FA Cup. Madness when you think about it. Like I said before, not a lot between them. I never suggested Wenger was the better manager.

You keep saying its poor banter yet you seem heavily affected by it. Probably should be doing your homework instead of arguing on the Internet.

Well I don't consider Arsenal a top club so we're on the same page.

I agree with you as I said nobody wants to come to Arsenal
Our trip to the Etihad starting to look like a dead rubber now. And it'll be if Leicester are still 5 points ahead by then.

OK so who's leaving in the summer after we "just about" secure top 4 and win the FA Cup again? Arteta, Flamini, Rosicky definitely. I'd show Ospina, Debuchy and Chamberlain the door too. The rest are more than capable of proving themselves, but whoever falls short I'd also shift out. So that's
-Jenkinson or Chambers
-Walcott or Sanogo
-Any or all of our other returning loanees

I think Ozil's current contract expires 2017. I don't think he will renew it, so he'll probably leave this summer.

Sanchez may have to stay another season. I feel sorry for him; playing with losers is going to drag you down eventually.

I hope Walcott ****s off too. I don't want to see another one of his interviews.

I made a mistake and edited it. 5 times: 97, 99, 2000, 01, 03. I took AS maths. And I don't really. You're an idiot by continuing to claim Wenger was as good a manager as SAF.

You couldn't seem to decide if it was or it wasn't a level playing field. Like I said before, even when Chelsea and City were spending stupid money SAF was still winning titles both in England and Europe. So that argument is void.

Sigh. When I say 1997-2005 I mean from the start of the 97-98 season. Such a football guru and you didn't know that!!!

I'm an idiot for holding an opinion (albeit not a very popular one) and using facts and stats to back it up. Jesus take the wheel. I said there wasn't much between them, stop taking my words and twisting them.

Chelsea won 3 PL's, and City won one between 2003 and Fergie's retirement date. United won 5. Not sure how that renders my argument void when Fergie won more PL's than both of those stinking clubs won put together.
It took Roberton Di Matteo 7 games to win the Champions League, Wenger's still waiting nearly 20 years later.
SAF is overrated he is not the best of all time but when it comes to Wenger I have to agree with Mourinho on him he is a specialist in failure him and the board are running this club to the ground

Never claimed to be a football guru.

Your opinion is simply wrong though. Your stats don't even back it up.

It renders your argument void as you are saying Wenger didn't win as Ferguson much as there wasn't a financial level playing field, but even when other clubs could complete and even outcompete United financially SAF still won domestic trophies regularly as well as a European Cup.
if winning the CL still gets you the sack then the owners have a lot of questions to answer.

Really? From the way you were attempting to berate me about not attending games regularly you'd think you were a die hard season ticket holder who's been watching Arsenal for years and years! Oh, what's that you say? You're only 17? Never mind.

Please explain why not?

That is such a silly way of looking at things. Just because you're being outspent by someone else that renders the previous 20 odd years void? As if Fergie didn't already have a very strong side? And it's not like he stopped spending either. He still spent a lot of money on fees and wages. I think it's safe to say here that you can't win this argument.

Love how Shawn just pretends none of this happening.

Never said that match going fans were more clued up than non-match going fans. If that was the case AFTV wouldn't be full of autism and nonces.

I've told you why not. SAF has a far superior managerial record than Wenger at United. People bang on about Arsene's consistency, saying that finishing 4th every year is a great achievement and makes him a great manager. If that's the case then SAF's consistency in winning the league 13 times of the 21 PL seasons he managed United for makes him a much better manager than Wenger.
