Leap Day - Four Years Ago, Four Years From Now

Today is leap day :awesome:

So I thought I'd try out a little game

How were you like four years ago today?

What will it be like for you four years from now?

For me:

Four years ago: I was becoming increasingly depressed in school because I didn't feel like I was fitting in and couldn't connect with many of my friends. I also had many insecurities and my natural tendency to want to do well in exams didn't help because I was only enforcing my 'nerd' image for an upcoming maths exam :frown:
I started to get interested in old Hollywood actors and actresses at that time too, they were (and Audrey still is) a source of inspiration and a way to forget about everything that made me sad

Four years from now: I'll hopefully have graduated (with a first!) from my first choice uni, perhaps with a PhD scholarship to start in the autumn. Who really knows though - I could have sold my virginity or something and be living as an upper class prostitute. I could be made to marry someone by my parents...

Post your own past and future below!

perhaps...............:lovehug:

@nucdev jovo, Lakshmi maa aiva.

To, answer the question, 4 years ago. pondering where I'd be today
4 years in the future, finishing dental school.
February 2012 I was a first year student, and was probably either asleep, in a lecture or smoking weed by the sea. February 2020, I have no idea what I'll be engaged with, and that's the way I like it. I could be anywhere four years from now.
I like this idea!

4 years ago, I was 13 years old, quite naive, wanted to study at art school...it was the quiet before the storm!

4 years from now, I'll be 21, hopefully in my last year of university studying law, hopefully I'd be close to securing a training contract. I don't know, it feels so unlikely that I'd actually have my life together, so I might not achieve anything. I hope I'm doing something fulfilling with my time & that I discover myself at university.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Four years ago: I was finishing my GCSE's and spent the remainder of the year in and out of hospital due to my illness. Also applied to sixth form college (yay for third year-ing ..whoop! xD ) and come results day passed my GCSE's with straight B's..despite all the chaos. lol

Four years from now: Hopefully graduated from uni with either a 2:1 or first and then be working as a registered mental health nurse, maybe even go back and do a masters,so i can specialise

Four years ago:
I was in year 9, 13 years old... moved houses, was gonna move schools but didn't. Year 9 was a blur to me so must've been a chill time x'D

Four years from now:
Hopefully not dead. Final year Chem student, still in contact with the important people in my life, can speak in Spanish, program and have a YouTube channel with a decent number of subscribers, have gone around the world and filled up a charm bracelet, met my idols and achieved this 'happiness' people speak of...
4 years ago: About to pick my GCSE options
4 years from now: Who knows....
Four years ago: I was 14, in year 10 doing my first year of GCSEs. I was depressed, and was also experiencing a lot of family problems, which are still ongoing although things have calmed down somewhat.

Four years from now: I will hopefully have made it through my undergraduate degree and will be looking at doing a postgraduate degree, possibly in hydrography, flood management or something along those lines
Four years ago: I was about to write that I would have been finishing off my undergrad dissertation but then I realised that was actually five years ago  Four years ago I was about to move to Japan. :eek3:

I'm old :moon:

Four years from now: I would like to own a house, that would be nice. Other than that I don't know. I'm not good at making plans.
Four years ago I was in year 8, 20lbs heavier and way shorter than I am today. I had braces, a whale face but surprisingly high confidence especially as this was the year I got moved up to set 2 and really knew my fave subject (German). Still got picked on loads but I only link years 9,10 and 11 with negativity and the stuff people said really getting to me

Four years today: Hopefully at my last year of studying molecular biology and genetics at UEA, very confident German speaker and hopefully another language if I take it up for 20 credits. This is pretty cringey, but jfc I hope im in a much better place than i am today- I better be happy!

2012 was an alright year for me, I went to Turkey, went to Zante, bought my first pair of turntables, I think I was still in my first year of college so I was enjoying that
4 years ago - I was in the middle of Y8, *cringes*
4 years from now - hopefully finishing up a degree at a top uni, with a career either lined up or in the process of being lined up!
4 years ago: I was in year 8, making some seriously cringy jokes, overusing the 'xD' emoticon, and I went to my first proper concert. I was hating science the most at this time, coincidentally.

4 years in the future: hopefully I will be in my third year of a physics degree (preferably at imperial but who knows) and working hard to keep on in the 4th year for an MSci. I can't even imagine how different I'll be as a person. I hope I have friends and I haven't lost contact with people I know now.

Thanks

I remember going a little OTT with it though
I honestly thought I could be a blonde bombshell until I realised that Asian skin and blonde eally doesn't go too well... :puke:
4 years ago: Total emotional mess, a lot worse than I currently am, felt quite alone even around good friends and was consistently messing up college & my future. Had no clear sense of direction and was just -shrugging- my entire life.

4 years from now: nearing end of uni degree, wait I think it'd be the year abroad so that'll be grand  and yeah god knows what else.
