Would you say (if you did get asked) you expected the questions regarding health news/current affairs?

My advice would be to just learn quite a few recent health articles just in case  dont think i can post any actual questions but thats how i prepped and it went fine!

Anyone else think they had a pressure interview?

Hi Guys,

As the last interview date is on the 16th, and they stated giving atleast two weeks of notice, do you think I can assume that I've been rejected pre-interview if I don't hear back by this Wed the latest? :s-smilie:

YES! Everyone else came out of theirs and said how lovely their interviews were but I had one interviewer ask me loads of awkward questions that threw me off! Did you have one guy sitting in the middle literally STARING you down? So off putting 😣

I had very awkward questions as well! They didn't even ask me about my BMAT essay just very awkward and strange questions. No nice questions about "why ucl" or about teamwork etc.. Not a pleasant experience how everyone else describes it.
Guys would you firm UCL or imperial and why??

Thanks

my experience was exactly the same, right down to the guy in the middle staring at me - plus I felt like my interview was really short as well!

It's so good to know other people felt the same way!

Hopefully there is some explanation as to why we were given such horrible interviews. I felt horrible after it!

Congrats I'm in exactly the same position. At the moment I am leaning towards Imperial because: having gone to study days there from school, I like the general environment and the facilities (e.g: labs) there are pretty awesome. Personally, I like South Ken more than Bloomsbury but that's my opinion. At Imperial I get a £4000 bursary grant per year and iPads. https://www.imperial.ac.uk/study/ug/fees-and-funding/bursaries-and-scholarships/imperial-bursary/Atm I'd prefer to do 4th year iBsc instead of 3rd year because with 1 clinical year behind me, I would be more able to do a Bsc in an area that I may specialise in, in the future. Also, I have good friends who are medics at Imperial who are always willing to help me out.Difficulty of exams seem the same apparently but main attractive feature of Imperial is if you fail a module, you only need to resit that module but in UCL if you fail a module, you have to resit ALL of the modules.Nonethelss I am still undecided because of the excellent Bsc options and teaching hospitals that UCL has. They are both amazing world-class unis so you would be guaranteed a great medical education and a great social life wherever you go.

Got my interview tomorrow! For those who have done their interviews, how long did you guys wait compared to the estimated time?

They were on time for our batch and sometimes even slightly early, I would say no earlier than 10 minutes.

Good luck
Wtf i must have messed up my interview bad to get rejected and see everyone else get an offer. Dayum

that sucks, I know how it feels. Do you have any feeling about what it was that caused them to reject you?

P.S hope you get an offer somewhere else, good luck!
