I'm clueless about finances in university. I know half of my loan or a bit more than half will cover my accommodation as I'll get quite a bit due to the family finances but do most students get a part time job? I know I can't expect family to do an awful lot I wouldn't want to burden them regardless.

What's your advice for a not rich first year student on money in university and how to survive in that regard?

Id advise you to get a part time job even if its just working in a supermarket for a few hours a week. However you can survive on just the maintenance loan if you budget, budget and budget. For example get second hand textbooks rather than new ones as this would reduce funds dramatically plus once the course is done you can sell them off again and get some of the money back.
Since you are living in accommodation and I am assuming you will be getting your own food. Its best to order your food online and bulk buy for items such as value frozen foods or necessities which will last a while. Plus this will allow you to constantly see what you are buying and how much it should cost each week.
You are also less likely to just throw things in the trolley.

Good luck for Uni

Thanks  I do know I shouldn't shop anywhere but Aldi and Iceland :') And I don't know the address for the site but there is a pirate bay for textbooks where you can get them absolutely free! Yeah it's highly questionable and I hope to have the money for second hand books instead

Just be cautious as Aldi and Iceland are not always the best for getting more for your money.

Anyone need any help????
Hi I have just started year 11 and I have to read to a bigger class than befor, the worst thing about this is that the teacher uses a random name picker to see who is going to read. When I get home I worry about having to read out loud to the class and some times the worrying keeps me up at night for a bit. Also if I say I don't want to read the teacher will say it's fine you can do it but she doesn't understand how I feel. And I don't know why I feel like this. Even more if I read I get very nervous, my face gets red and I can not talk properly. What can I do about this. Thank you.

Take your teacher aside one day and explain to her in private. She will understand when u tell her how anxious u get. To be honest, you'll probably be ok after the first time you've read and get used to it.

Hi, I'm 16 and it's my last year of high school. The problem is I have a crush on a teacher. He is really nice to me and favouritism so me. (But I think it's only because I'm quite.) I really need you help as I am too embarresed to ask anyone else. It's really painful and stressful and I'm trying to keep my feelings to my self.
