It will probably require a reduction formula involving hyperbolic trig identities and 3 successive integration by parts with powers m and n

My class had the option of doing M3 or FP3, we took it to a vote and M3 won 5 votes to 2, have to content myself to working through the chapters in my spare time

Given that In=0a(a2x2)ndx \displaystyle I_n = \int_0^a (a^2 -x^2)^n\: \text{d}x

Show that In=2na21+2nIn1 \displaystyle I_n = \frac{2na^2}{1+2n} I_{n-1}

I done this with standard trig, but a teacher showed me this method, its so so good, ill spoiler the solution so you can try it first

The a^2 -x^2 actually reminds me of a pretty neat circle question I saw in my c4 textbook, I think I remember my teacher showing my class the adding 0 trick during this topic as well
