No way c4 is much harder. The c3 exams are the same questions every year with different functions and equations lol

yeah but the C4 questions, especially vectors and trig are really straightforward :P
The only involving thing i find is the differential equation long questions and the comprehension (hate that)
Where is the proper thread for this?

how is everyone feeling about this exam. i just completed last years paper and got full ums although it was a fairly tricky paper. i took longer completing that paper than any other one.

I got 65/72 how many UMS would that be in that paper? And what is full ums?

Also how do you revise exactly apart from do past papers? And how many past papers have you done , all 18?
Just wondering lets share revision tips everyone! :smile:

I use the OCR MEI thin revision guide and the CGP book along with exam solutions to revsie with.

I then do all the past papers ( all 18 or so) .

And then just makes sure I can do everything...

Anything else I should do, and what do you guys do?

No I just mean that doing FP2 means you only need to put in about half the time into C3 and C4 than you otherwise would need to

ocr have released their ums calculator so you can work out how much ums you get in each paper. for c3 you must add your coursework mark.

ums calculator: http://www.ocr.org.uk/i-want-to/convert-raw-marks-to-ums/
praying as last years exam was dreadful this years will be easier
Am I the only one who finds C3 harder than C4? I find C4 pretty simple to learn but Integration in C3 exams really get to me sometimes and I can't get exactly what they want.
Ahhh was feeling totally okay with C3 reliably hitting over 85% but then I neglected it a bit for other exams and now it seems to have gone completely! Implicit diff. seems impossible (can anyone tell me what 2xy differentiates to?) and anything involving e^x has me so confused...

u = 2x du/dx = 2

v = y dv/dx = dy/dx

Using Product Rule:

d/dx (2xy) = 2y + 2x dy/dx
