can this not be done with M3 knowledge? looks like circular motion to me, but it might have some tricks.

it needs polar coordinates, which is only taught at

M5 in AQA
M6 in EDEXCEL ( R.I.P)

This looks a lot like the latter half of Edexcel FP3. A module just on linear algebra? :biggrin:
