Probably about £120. Insurance is paid for by the company, but I can drive up to 2 or 3 hours a day, which even on the 70mpg bluetec diesel, is a little costly. And i don't get as much as that. On a previous thread, I said I was getting a lot more, although that was looking at the MPG marker on the dashboard. I put a new average in since the start and it comes out around 50-60. Tax free obviously for first period, after which I'll just give it back in and get a new car.

I like it, but it's got issues. I think it's too complicated. I mean, you need a damn copilot to drive the damn thing. Want to change from BBC Radio 1 to BBC Radio 2? Oh, you've got to go onto the main dashboard, hit "home" > "Vehicle" > "Radio" > "Stations" > "Change Station" > "Search" > "B" > "B" > "C" > "Browse Results" > BBC Radio 2" > "Select" > "Choose Radio Type" > "FM / DAB" > "[select]".

Time was when you just pressed the >> button on your radio and it did it for you. Honestly, some cars just make things complicated.

I was 28 when I passed so I guess my old age worked in my favour for once.

Petrol: It can really depend. I expense a lot of my fuel on my company. Some months it's £200, others it may only be £50.
Insurance: £50 per month
Tax: About £200 a year
Fuel; £55 a week
Insurance; £265 a month
Car finance;£390

Yeah but the more you earn the more comes out i guess? 😄
I paid £700 for a years insurance (paid off in one go, rather than monthly), so that would be about £58/mo comprehensive cover, then about £150 on fuel at the most. Tax was £120 for the year
Fuel - around £40 to £50 per week ( fuel price lower atm so costs less to fill)
Insurance - £71 Fully comp on a 2006 1.8 TDCI Focus Sport
tax- £11 per month

so between £220- £250 Per month all in

Oh, this does not include repairs, for me personally repairs by FAR have been the biggest expense to my motoring, talking thousand of £'s in the 4 years I have been driving. let's hope I get better luck from now on

well, I got the new MAF plug with 6 wires, all the colors were the same except 1, anyway wired it all up but although it actually is running slightly better, the engine light is still on because of it and it is still a bit slow, bit poor on fuel and still sometimes struggles to pick up speed.

Was about to take it to auto electrician when I notice I was loosing 2 or 3 cups of coolant a week, could see no leaks so had a chemical test on coolant, revealed head gasket as gone.
I went back to garage who charged £950 10 months ago to replace head gasket ( found out they lied and only replaced water pump) as I thought it was under 1 year they would offer a solution but they didn't.

My friend said he can replace head gasket all in ( we won't replaced valve oil seals as they don't need doing ) including parts, labor and head skim for £430. I will get that done soon.

I will probably have to put the maf wiring on hold until after the head gasket is replaced. The car runs fine though , no power loss ( apart from bad maf ) no oil/water mixing, no smoke at all, only problem is having to fill it up slightly each week.
