A question about graph translations

let's say if f(x)=(x-1)(x+3)
my question is what is the equation of y=-f(3x+4)-2 and how to transform itwould it be -f(3x+4)-2=-(3x+4-1)(3x+4+3)-2or -f(3x+4)-2= -((3x+4-1)(3x+4+3)-2)

you replace each x with ( 3x + 4 ) in f(x)=(x-1)(x+3)

then multiply by -1

then subtract 2

you replace each x with ( 3x + 4 ) in f(x)=(x-1)(x+3)

then multiply by -1

then subtract 2

so for the y move up or down you always do at the last
