Rejecting offer this year, reapply to better universities?

I mean I'm fairly confident and I'll be able to know everything about he interview that I'll have but there's always uncertainty after interview.

No, don't reapply for medicine. Even 4 A*'s nowhere near guarantees you an offer from Oxbridge (or any med school really). Furthermore, there is no advantage to going to Oxbridge for medicine unless you want to go into research, and no advantage at all in going to Imperial or UCL instead of other universities (even if the others are lower down on league tables for other subjects). Worrying that you won't fit in at the universities you currently have offers for (but you would fit in at universities that are coincidentally thought of as more prestigious) is a bad reason to turn down the precious thing that is a medicine offer.

Yes I understand I don't know why I mentioned Oxbridge I was just giving examples of good unis but I am really referring to Imperial and Others like that because I really like the area.

Stick with your offer - you are taking a big risk to apply again. What is wrong with the uni you've had an offer from?

Just don't like it, I don't like the area I don't like the people I've met there and the ones I've spoke to on the Internet. I don't like how close they are and how they force socialisation on u(university).

I can't think of any medical schools like that - where are you talking about? You don;t just socialise with fellow medics at uni.

Yeah I know but the mentor system there. I'd rather not say where I'm talking about because I haven't commented on the medicine thread on here yet so I'd rather keep it at people not knowing who I am

Why do you want to go to the top unis? It really doesn't matter that much in terms of 'prestige' and from my experience lots of 'bad' unis actually have nicer course.
Also, you may be asked on your interview why you rejected the other offer and it may come across as a negative thing

Yeah that is true but I don't want to live in a boring place with boring people and nothing to do but pretend to enjoy listening to opera to fit in with all the boring personalities there.

I suspected this. It's not so much about you wanting to go to a better uni, I just think you're having a bit of a crisis about going to uni and want to delay it.

It is mainly that i want to go to a better university. However also with this uni that applies. If I had an offer from one of the said universities I would've firmed straight away.

It literally doesn't matter with medicine.

I bet you have false preconceptions of the uni you've firmed. But, without you letting us know, we can't help.

Nobody is going to figure out who you are.

I've not firmed it yet but the two unis I have left aren't top ones n aren't in a great area either. I really like imperial and London based universities due to the good reputation and same teaching style as I like and the area is great and convenient I like that life style. Also a wider variety of people and more ethnically diverse
