It's kind of effeminate and weird to tell a girl that you love her.

If he's anything like me, his way of expressing love is doing what he did.

So stop being so needy.

He doesn't love you after 6 months lol you guys not that close clearly.

There is no timescale for falling in love. 6 months is nothing.

Disagree, if you see each other often 6 months is long enough to make a serious connection, if that hasn't been made yet I doubt it ever will be.

No need to be patronising. :colonhash:

I'll stick by what I said.

I'm not being harsh but if he felt it he would say it.

You said that you think it's immature that he didn't respond to OPs I love you....I'm asking what could he have said if he doesn't feel the same way, I think the kiss session was a perfect move.

Well ofcourse it is to make a serious connection, doesn't mean love comes into play. Not true at all!

The words make me cringe tbh

What is weird about it? How is it effeminate? A kiss, no matter how passionate, doesn't necessarily convey how much (or even if) you love somebody.

Anyone can kiss, anyone can say those words, but it's easier to kiss properly than it is to say those words properly. He didn't say it. Why?

Well I have no idea, hence why I asked!

Well I see the kiss as a sort of diversion.

Showing her he cares. But putting off the subject of love for the moment.

It would suck to have a yelling match after a sex session, he played it perfect.

Ive been seeing my boyfriend for almost 6 months, we've been official for 2.5. We're both mid twenties. Today I told him I loved him for the first time (after a really good intense sex session.) He didnt say it back, but he kissed me passionately for about 5 minutes after. We didn't mention it again but it wasnt awkard between us.

Any idea what this means?

Are you guys at uni together?

He did 'play' it perfect.

Doesn't mean he loves her though.

Does he leave the toilet seat up?

Don't mean to be harsh. Just being realistic.

Give it a bit more time. But not too much.

Do you think I should be worried about this, or just accept he's not ready yet and wait until he is?
Might just not be confident enough to say it yet
I would just wait. You haven't been going out very long. He clearly didn't want to hurt your feelings by not saying that he loves you back. My boyfriend said it after I did, a month of so later. We've now been going out 4.5 years.
