But he gave too much on one side.
No way was Payet going to try and wrong foot De Gea, would have been pretty much impossible. Should have closed the gap further and done better.
Like i said, them free kicks are predictable and from that distance you shouldn't be getting beat, no matter if it was really good.

m8 stop trolling
If he could save Mata's free kick he should be saving Payet's.
Martial is going to explode next season imo. He'll cement himself as one of the best players in the world.

Ok

Not my fault you don't have a single player in your squad whose potentially a world class star.

Also, seen Payet's freekick properly. Not much more De Gea could have done, it was outstanding. Payet has definitely been one of the best (arguably the best) signing of the season especially if West Ham finish in the top 4. Would be an incredible season if Spurs, Leicester and West Ham all finish in the CL spots.

He's alright. I'd have him in our team but neither is he this superstar you claim him all to be. He's young and has confidence which is a good sign but you're massively overestimating his ability because you're hugely lacking in that department. With Rooney injured/misfiring, all you have are youngsters so Martial is naturally hailed as the best thing that's happened to you in recent years.

There's no point talking about all this potential he supposedly has because as things stand he's your main striker. You need somebody now, not later. You need him to have already "exploded" and he obviously hasn't. Not yet.

As for the talent in our squad, it's about how you play on the pitch, and we gave you an embarrassing lesson about that on Thursday

I never said he is a superstar now . He definitely has the look of a potential world class player and if you're trying to say his impact is being overstated because Rooney is injured and/or we don't have many options then you've simply not watched him play at all.

I know for certain we'll buy a striker in the summer (seriously think Ibra may join us) but I've said he'll explode next season and I'm sticking by that statement. He's adjusted to the PL amazingly well and if we weren't in such **** form and didnt play such a rigid style of football, he probably would have easily netted 20-25 goals this season. He already has 11 goals and 7 assists in 37 apps which is great for a 19/20 year old whose in his first season at United. Also, he's been played predominantly out wide instead of up front. I just can't understand how you can imply that he's simply being 'hailed as the best thing' because we have a bunch of youngsters. Sounds retarded and I mean no offense by that.

Liverpool simply beat a United side berefit of confidence and **** tactics from van Gaal. I still think Liverpool are a piss poor side along with United. Both clubs have fallen so far down except one club seems to be on the right track while the other is drowning.

I've watched I'm play plenty. He definitely has great potential (although he needs to seriously work on his touch). If you give him a chance, he'll generally finish it and I could see him flourishing at a side like Arsenal for instance.

Firstly, don't call my opinion "retarded". Secondly, what I mean is that you're struggling so much in that area that you're overestimating Martial's ability - perhaps viewing him as a saving grace. Although I agree he has good talent, your perception of him is a little too high right now.

Although largely they rely on being supplied, truly great strikers create their own chances. You don't see that with Martial, not regularly. We completely shut him down at Anfield (although we dominated the other 9 outfield players too tbf).

You don't give us enough credit and you very much underestimate us as a side. You were supremely lucky to do the double over us this season, but we are a significantly improved side under Klopp (maybe not statistically, but certainly performance-wise). We don't have many outstanding players but we have a good team mentality. Firmino is the best player of 2016 so far and others like Lallana are also in great form.

Klopp has taken a dire side and improved it immensely without spending a penny. Man for man, you might have more quality but there's no doubt we're a better side on the pitch. Imagine the difference when our manager actually gets to spend some money...

If he played up top for Arsenal, he'd score for fun

I said it was retarded because we never played youngsters at the start of the season and many people and pundits labelled him as the next best thing back then. So to simply say he's getting recognition in a side with youngsters playing due to an injury crisis or the fact that he seems to be our main striker (even though Rooney continually started up top with Martial shunted out wide) is unfair. He also won the golden boy award which shows the impact he has had on United. Obviously we cant predict the future with certainty and he could easily fade away but everything is pointing to him becoming a world class player. He's already become a decisive player as shown by his stats and seems to show great maturity in his play as well as being fairly consistent. A goal or an assist every 2 games is a good return.

Also your point about Martial not creating his own chances. Are you trolling? You say you've watched him play plenty of times but you're surely joking right?! He always has to create his own chances, he's always driving at the opposition defence and being a menace. He's always seems to be our out ball in every single game. You cant just come to a conclusion just because he didnt show it against Liverpool in one game. Ironically, you must have missed his first ever game for United against Liverpool and plenty of other games, probably majority of his United games if you're saying he doesnt create his own chances. Also, before you say he doesnt do it regularly, he actually does.

I dont need to give much credit though. Liverpool have been awful this season and to say otherwise is being biased. Yes you've played excellently against some of the big sides in the PL but you've equally produced a string of **** performances like United and have also been inconsistent like United this season. Firmino has probably been Liverpool's best player in 2016 (I'm guessing you meant that and not the best player in 2016) and ngl he has impressed me recently.

Imagine the difference when we have a competent manager :colonhash:
In hindsight, DDG maybe could not have left that much space but tbf Payet's an excellent free kick specialist so you have to give credit to him for his application. Maybe Memphis could take note on successful free kicks. When's the replay?

Can't wait until Madrid buy DDG in the summer. The only player in your squad fit to wear the Manchester United shirt.
