Truth is there are people who think they know what racism is and they don't, I've experienced a friend calling something racist when it wasn't racist she's just ignorant. A lot of people who do not suffer racism will call something they perceive as racism racist but they will never know the effects of institutionalised racism or subtle racism which people who actually suffer from these forms of racism experience perhaps daily.

At the end of the day I don't personally give a **** about whether the OP is racist or not, in truth the OP sounds confused.

I have always had a type. And generally that's guys of like southern European descent. I'm Slovenian American and I have always been primarily attracted to guys with that phenotype. Now sometimes there is a little wiggle room. I have had crushes on guys that had more Nordic features. I have been attracted to guys who appeared to be of middle eastern or arab ancestry. And sometimes I'm attracted Hispanic guys and some light skinned black men that look Hispanic. I have never been attracted to someone who was what people perceive as black. It's just not in my personal range of my type of guy basically. I know a lot of people who are actually racist and wouldn't give a black guy a chance simply because they're black. For me, it's not like that It's strictly whether I have a physical attraction or not. End of story. Does this sound wrong or not?

Instead of saying "I am not attracted to black guys", maybe it's better to say "I have never come across a black guy that I was attracted to, so it is safe to conclude that black guys do not tend to fall within my sexual preferences".

This then does not exclude the entire race. Is this acceptable? Is this practical?

Racism is a hugely grey area and there are varying degrees of it. Attraction to certain races is definitely racism but its obviously not 'let's go beat that guy up cus he's different to us' racist.
There are a huge number of factors that would play into this. Opinions from friends and family and the media seep in at a young age and slowly they form a racial prejudices, you can be naive and call it a racial preference but it really is the same thing. How many movies portray male romantic partners as black or asian? Little to none. So the public in Western countries get very little exposure to the idea of having a male romantic partner who is black or asian. This is definately the main reason why white males are at the moment the most desired partners for women. Did you know for example, Jet Li was scripted to kiss a white girl at the end of the movie Romeo Must Die but the producers changed it to a hug instead because of how the american public would not be accepting of an asian male romantic partner. So it's a much bigger almost institutional racism that's widespread and perpetuating but hidden beneath the surface. Media portrays blacks as unsuitable and asian males as desexualised, this forms public opinion, media then plays to public opinion because thats the only way they'll make money reinforcing the stereotypes and this is strengthened by the views of the people around you etc.
However, just because you are attracted to a race it doesn't mean necessarily that you are not racist against that race. Attractions to specific races, especially in cases of asian and black women, can be fetishes. The media teaches us that asian and black women are exotic and sexualises the idea of that and only that. It turns them into sexual objects to be dominated rather than human beings. At the end of the day, we should strive to knock down these romantic prejudices but there are more important racial issues at hand.

not rely it's kind of obvious what it looks like. That's another reason I like lighter skinned men too. They are actually better than white guys in that way. Because it doesn't look in a sense creepy and it doesn't look like crap molded into the shape of a mushroom. Saying you are not attracted to black guys unless they are mixed makes no sense, that's like saying you don't like chicken unless it's fish. Mixed people exist as their own separate groups, you can tick mixed on a census or on most forms.
