English Lit A-level in need of desperate help!

Hi there. My English teachers both have come down with severe illness. My Prose teacher is terminally ill, and my other teacher has fractured their skull, and won't be in until Easter. This means that I have to revise and LEARN on my own! I have written an essay for poetry which I desperately need marking, and I need help learning new poems, with analysis!

I am politely asking someone to mark my recent poetry essay for me--someone with experience. If you can do this, please tell me!

Thank you!

I don't have teaching experience, but I do have A level English literature experience (alongside some higher lit study) so if nobody comes along who has teaching experience I'd definitely be willing to take a look and help you as much as I can. If I knew what exam board and syllabus you were doing I could take a look at what you're being examined on and maybe give some advice.

Do you know what poetry and prose you're supposed to have covered by the time your exams arrive?

I'm on the Edexcel exam board, on the new 2015 spec.

I literally have no idea what I'm meant to have covered by the time I get to exams, so I'm going to frantically try and contact someone and get those details on Monday.

I do know that I'm meant to have covered The Handmaid's Tale and Frankenstein, but because my prose teacher fell ill, we never covered The Handmaid's Tale, but I did cover Frankenstein and write essays on that.

I was promised tutoring in comparative essays, but unfortunately both teachers are now gone for a while, which means I don't get this.

Hi there I'm on this same course except I'm studying different prose to you. Poetry wise i can help you. Comparison is easy and so far the exam board aren't decided on how they want comparison to be presented other than coherently. I can compile a lit of poems which share themes etc if you like?

Howdy.

Your offer is generous. My teacher has given me some of her notes in her absence for me to look over. I could give you a list of known poetry to be covered so we can collaborate notes?

I'm an English tutor and currently at university studying English Lit and Philosophy. I'm also a CA on here, English Specialism. So, if you still need someone to mark your essays, feel free to reply.

I have work on The Handmaids Tale, and work comparing it to Frankenstein along with frankenstein notes, i just need to check whether it needs to be updated and completed first. I also have poetry notes cause I'm on the new specification too, would you like those as well?

I'm on the same spec but I'm studying different works. I can give you an essay I did for Prose that got marked at a Level 5.

I have read both of these books, I am just an English literature student myself but my peers do come to me for help with essay editing, ideas etc
I am studying Frankenstein for my AQA course, and I have read A Handmaid's tale for my comparative coursework - although I didn't pick it in the end.
Feel free to contact me if you need help - although you have had many more tempting offers

I've only just seen this so you may well have found someone, but if not, I'm an experienced English teacher (Head of English) and examiner & I have both taught & examined that very module as well as tutoring students on those texts. Send me a message if you still need someone.

You're HoD English and your wasting your time on here? No way is that true! Unless you're only responsible for 1 class rather than every student from year 7-13?

What an unpleasant and wholly unnecessary remark.

One may be a Head of English and have a child who is applying to University, and TSR may be a useful resource to check now and again in a spare moment; as one is doing that, one might notice in the sidebar, a plea for help which one is exceptionally well qualified to give. If, out of common humanity and kindness, and just because teachers do this sort of thing, one volunteers to help that student, then that is something which may be done no matter how busy one's life may be.
