Is the hijab a necessity in Islam or is it a cultural thing? I find some Muslim girls attractive (or at least look Muslim) but I get put off if they wear a hijab

That's a lie. The hijab is not a requirement, and it is not even mentioned in the Quran. It is a cultural item, and people are often brainwashed into thinking that you have to be a Muslim to wear a hijab, and that you have to wear a hijab to be a Muslim. This is a consequence of people not having a proper understanding of their own religion.

unfortuantely u have a lack of knowledge check it up yourself it is

You have to understand that there are many sects of Islam. Some will say you have to wear it and some will say you don't. Just like the niqab.
And Muslims don't just follow the Quran, there's also the sunna.

noo all sects say its compulsory to wear it but the niqaab they have differnt opinions

It is based on the principles of Islam and is a necessity for Muslim women
But I guess some decide to wear it then others
Hijab is a sign of our modesty but sometimes Muslim women do not understand this
Then shouldn't be doing this anyway but guys should serious keep away and respect her and do not lead her to things that she would once regret

I see it happen at uni and on TSR... it annoys me tbh... but then again everyone's different - some people where it to please Allah, some for their parents, some people have lax manners when talking to the opposite sex, others don't, and it can be any combination, like a person could care about hijab but still have this as a flaw etc... May Allah give us all better character, ameen.

Because attacking women who are above the age of consent for having some flirty banter marks you out as the good guy?

Thing is it's based on the odd assumption that all men, by nature of being men, are sexual predators and women are china dolls who have no interest in sex/men at all. I'm a guy and frankly I'm more intimidated by women than anything.

Some of my friends wear the hijab but do flirt with guys who are Muslims and non-Muslims. I find it weird because guys are probably confused to why they wear the hijab but flirt.

I once banged a girl while she wore a Hijab like Mia Khalifa it was amazing
I'd not feel comfortable as an atheist.

Flattered. This has happened to me before and I peeled the hijab off her like a banana, i.e. I had sex with her.

Now that's funny, because actually the hijab is a requirement to be a Muslim.

“O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”

Actually you are wrong bob it is mentioned in the quran. Please do your research before you try misguiding the readers Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allaah is Ever Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful”[al-Ahzaab 33:59]
