Why do some people regard cheating or porn a "mistake"?

I do not understand why some people regard the above things as "mistakes".

People CHOOSE to cheat on their partners You cannot mistakenly cheat on your partner...

People for the most part CHOOSE to act in porn.

How can doing porn be a mistake? It's not like they had no choice to do it...

What else would you call them?
Should they refer to it as an accident instead?

Because in hindsight they wish they had made different choices. Do you ever regret some of your decisions and wish you had made different choices?

A child wetting the bed is an accident.

A adult who chooses to cheat on their partner or be filmed engaging in sexual activities isn't an accident.

No, not really. I made my choice so I live with it.

See how you feel in ten years time . You cna make the best decision you could at the time but hindsight will show you some of them might not have yielded the best results, Its understandable that given the choices again and the advantage of hindisght that people might make different choices.
I dont think you understand the meaning of the word mistake.

Mistake: "an act or judgement that is misguided or wrong"

It's something you do which you later regret. Why is that hard to understand?

I agree with this tbh. If someone chooses to cheat, then clearly they're doing it off of their own backs. A mistake, to me, is something you do without intention and without knowing the consequences or reprimands of doing so. For example, making a mistake in Maths by writing the wrong symbol in your equation.

Everyone knows the reprimands of being an infidel, and therefore it is not a mistake. It, to me, is therefore a choice. A decision. And a bloody stupid one, at that!
you cant do porn unless ur the one being filmed taking part
you watch porn
Because when the negative repercussions of that persons actions come back to negatively effect them (Partner finds out / feeling of remorse) they then regret it

Think of a person on a diet eating a mcdonalds and cake.

You are correct its not a mistake, its myopic selfish greedy human behaviour that only becomes a mistake if they are forced to regret it through an overall negative outcome

A 'mistake' in that they mistakenly thought they were ok with what they were doing? A 'mistake' in that they acted using only one of their faculties and not the sense part?
