I think someone is confused between sense and sensibility.

Typical muslim.

Has nothing to say to defend their ridiculous religion so results to threats of banning or blocking.

This is why your religion is shear PISS.

Come on.

You're not really helping the situation are you.

A religion that permits men to have up to 4 wives, and allows men to beat their rebellious wives.

I just cringe anytime i see female muslim women defending Islam.

But to be fair, you've got nip these things in the bud before they escalate. Afterall, you don't want to have to administer an honour killing now, do you?

Have you heard of the Koran? It was manufactured by Mohammed, a mediaeval warlord, in order to give himself a decent chance of influencing the behaviour of his superstitious desert compatriots - and it worked!

Many Moslems recite from it, but few seem to understand what it means as they continue to insist Islam is a religion of peace which gives equality to women.

The religious leaders are correct, of course. Giving women better treatment is unislamic.

Directly from it, or via a website?

What has that got to do with the fact that the book is saturated with contradictions and immorality?

Apart from the Quran, sura 4:34 of course. Which makes wife-beating very much part of the religion.

How could you have forgotten this? I'm sure we've discussed the issue before.

Yeah... Definitely got the wrong religion...

It clearly is the religion:

Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those [wives] from whom you fear arrogance - [first] advise them; [then if they persist], forsake them in bed; and [finally], strike them. But if they obey you [once more], seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted and Grand

It seems that even denying what the Koran says is not beyond the apologists.

I'll put it this way: HAnwar isn't joking when she says that a ban is headed your way if you're too vocal in your criticism of Islam. It really is. There's a good bet that this thread will eventually be deleted, too.

Nor is it beyond them to report posts that states what the Koran says.

"Freedom of speech"

It's great when they criticise western women calling them whores but when we do the reverse and called islamic women oppressed because of their religion, we get reported.
