Are maintainence grants still grants?!?!?

So apparently they have been scrapped and are now loans but I still see maintainence grants being advertised on University websites and the Government websites?

If you are a current student, yes otherwise either the websites haven't been updated or they are referring to grants the university offers themselves
If you are starting in Academic Year 16/17, then the majority of grants have been replaced with enhanced repayable loans. I do believe Child Care Grant (CCG) will be still be considered a grant, but I'm unsure how the other Grant for Dependants (PLA, ADG) are going to be affected.
