He is better than Cruz. Especially for a homosexual like you. Cruz is a religious zealot who would probably pass a law forcing homosexuals to take Christian counselling and prayer sessions to remove the gay demons that dwell within. Trump doesn't GAF.
Just gonna leave this here...

King Trump.

But he'd sure like to. He's a religious extremist. He's uber right. Trump is a liberal on many issues by comparison to Cruz.

I genuinely do not understand why people vote for him, at all.

The media focus very heavily on Trump's more 'radical' right-wing viewpoints and vitriol, which creates the impression that he's more extreme than the other GOP candidates. However, I recall CNN had an article a few weeks ago that essentially compared trump's policies with the other GOP candidates and past Republican presidents, and he came off closer-to-centre than most (on average).

People are drawn to Trump because he's unconventional, controversial, and yes, a little unhinged. He's thrown a wrench in the works, and that resonates with a lot of right-leaning voters who fail to identify with the 'traditional' Republican model. Others were 'pushed' towards him by the Left, which has become so holier-than-thou and obnoxious lately that it's driving people to vote for Trump out of spite. And then there are those who just vote for him for the lols...
