Yes it will make a difference. Bath is consistently ranked top 3, this year 1, in the UK for management. Exeter is lucky to make it into the top 10.

Anyway, don't you have some colouring in to do for your smart person course?

So really the point of your thread is very much how dare they reject you.

No. Because universities don't reject students to spite them, or to be daring. They always have a reason, and I wanted to know why. I think I found out why (because my personal statement wasn't focused enough on geography).

The difference between Warwick and Exeter in that ranking is the research quality. I am not sure it's hugely relevant that the bloke teaching you how to use Microsoft Exel also writes a few books.

You were rejected for the combined course, aye. You were accepted on the other combined courses. Hence, Exon. is more exclusive. It's simple logic.

You're right, it's simple maths, how could I have been so stupid?

Probably because i'm going to study business, right?
Each university has their own set of requirements that you have to satisfy, gaining entry into a better university (by your standards) doesn't mean that the you will automatically gain an offer from the 'weaker' one.

I don't know why you're being sarcastic. It's true. You're going into a subject which specialises in not specialising. It's the classic "Jack of all trades and master of none". Not only that, but you're further diluting by doing it as combined honours. What you playing at, bud?

I'm trying to make things easy for myself man. See, i'm not a smart guy, and I think a diluted course is the best option for me. God, I mean look at Donald Trump, he's an idiot..and a business man! I will fit right in
How has no one called troll on this yet?

Yeah but I wanted to know what their requirement is that is different to the other unis.

He's not an idiot, really. He went to Wharton at UPenn which is a top-tier school. Little different to being rejected from Exeter.

And nah, it wasn't me who reported you.

Hmm, the only notable alumnUS of exeter is THOM YORKE. If anything, I thank your university for that. It's a shame things have gone downhill since then :/

What about JK Rowling? HEARD OF HER????

Nah, but it's all relative. You have only heard of Yorke because that's the stage of your life you're in. Internet era, celebrity. Once you start to look at careers seriously, the "Exeter; top 10 RG." starts to stand out.

you're right, I don't like portishead anyway...

just kidding. don't joke about Radiohead.

besides, not taking the piss anymore, have a look at warwick business school alumni. it's pretty impressive.

and I'll look at Exeter alumni. see how nice it is to get along!

maybe one day we can be friends..

The thing about Warwick is that it gets hugely overhyped by people not really "in" the game. WBS is pretty damn good, especially more about the mathsy side, but the suggestion there is a chasm of difference between WBS and EBS (for non-AF) is not hugely sensible. Not for recent grads, at least.

fair enough. I still think you're wrong, but i might be wrong.

Besides, in such a competitive world I think every edge helps.

I mean, I don't really know much about the management course here because I don't like associating with the thick kids....Not that this is hugely relevant because we didn't give you the option to choose.
