The age-old question: Aubergine or eggplant?

Do you refer to this certain vegetable as an aubergine or eggplant?

Eggplant is the American way of saying it, Aubergine is the french way.

They are horrible disgusting plants, I picked them in Australia.

The plants are at knee height requiring you to bend over all day, are covered in thorns, have a really sticky sap which is impossible to get off and absolutely stink.

I live in the US, so it's an eggplant. My mother-in-law makes the most amazing eggplant lasagna, before I tried it I hated them.

Zucchini or courgette? :beard: I prefer zucchini, it sounds much more exciting. :biggrin:

Yes. I have tried a wide range of food and it is bland, like tofu but not as versatile.

haha. In Guj. in Urdu it's 'Baygan'. Very popular in a curry alongside peas and potato in South Asia, with chapatti or rice
