Help!! Can I get student finance paid into a savings account?

I need to know if I can get student finance paid into a savings account, for some reason I'm having trouble opening a current account or a basic account I have a savings account so at the moment it's my only option! I need to apply for student finance asap! Please help me someone!!! thanks in advance!

it has to be an account which accepts bacs transfers, you can change your bank details at a later date though.

How do you know what ones accept bacs payments? I must sound really stupid but I'm useless when it comes to banks!
