If a guy always jokes a about being hot is he flirting

If a guy who is slightly above average looks wise, makes jokes about being
Hot does it mean he's flirting?

So there is a guy I Kind of like and a handful of times in conversation, he always manages to Make comments such as 'it takes a lot of work to have a good body like this you know' or 'I'm kinda perfect to be fair' or something to that effect. He says it while smiling and half joking. He never used to do it but has in the last few months. He always directs the comments to me and to now one else no matter how long he talks to them and he does not make the comments when I'm in a different office.is this a weird attempt at flirting? He's not arrogant so he's not actually thinking hes perfect.

Is he just after a compliment? Or trying to find out if I like him?

Any ideas on the psychology behind this.

Lol sorry op, in all seriousness I read your post and it does sound like flirting, does he say these things to you specifically or is it this the way he acts around everyone?

I think he's probably being flirting then, it sounds like he's trying to get you to notice him

weak florting. Hot people tend to leave the compliment giving to other people rather than addressing it themselves. All depends on context it might be harmless or he could be quite vain or immature.
Does no one use the word "thirsty" anymore?
