I voted sex, but it took me like 5 minutes to decide. I've had some pretty intense orgasms with both.

5mins huh?

I find I NEED sex every 10-14 days regardless of masturbation . In the meantime I am happy to make do with my hand

Why is that?

This is very interesting for me as a partner of mine (male) completely lost interest in having sex with me, including me giving him oral, and said it was his sex drive etc.

But he still continued to masturbate every night or most nights to porn (when I was asleep). I also found him doing it a couple times and he was way harder than he gets with me. It annoyed me because I felt as though if his sex drive was low maybe holding off the masturbation might help to recharge it?

I ended up feeling low in sex drive myself (usually have quite high appetite) and also with low confidence. I think it's hard for a girl to take when a guy seems disinterested in sex with you even when you want it. It makes you feel as though there's something wrong with you.

Masterbation takes so much away from sex and your drive. Especially if you're lazy, sex is a bit of work emotionally, it's well worth it...unless you watch porn which ****s with how you connect with opposite sex and how you see them (piece off ass rather than human).

I had a phase where I was living with the gf, would have sex and I'd still jerk off after. I would like jerk 3/4 times a day and desire sex way less. Fair to say Porn /******* is a shitty addiction. You don't realise you're addicted too

why do guys do this though?

Spoiler

Well the truth is that for some reason, the relationship becomes stale, the communication ends, those hidden resentments build. The woman shuts her legs as a form of punishment/payback. Pretty soon husband takes the same view and thinks,,well if thats what she wants, so be it,,im not begging. So the fires of resentment are stoked further.

They both ive up or refuse to make an effort. ne or both of them may have affairs. If an affair can be converted into a relationship well someone hits the eject button and the man goes off to the divorce court to loose his shirt again his freedom and them repeat the process with the new woman..and all because he cant control his base desires,,

oh okay well this is understandable then, esp point in bold :/ why doesn't he just ask her to have sex with him again and tell her he'll otherwise have to take other measures. Also, with the woman denying sex I can't imagine EVER doing that unless the man did something completely outrageous like cheat on her (even then how long can you really go?)
why is she refusing or is some stupid irrelevant reason?

lol at the last sentence tho

Lol some people are really manipulative and use whatever power they have, if you have a need and they can satisfy it they can also take it away from you, you have to learn to cut these people out of your life because they are horrible.

also I don't mean denying sex in general, like obviously sometimes I won't want to have it but it won't be denying in a mean "punishment" way.

agree I find it kind of difficult to trust people cause of others like that, that exist. you never know when someone is going to stop "being your friend" or even when a man might stop providing for you.

Which do you prefer? Have a vote.

A mix is so much better.

They both cater to different needs so I can't imagine only doing 1. Both is much better.

Absolutely this, I trust people because I get really insulted when someone refuses to trust me on principle, especially someone close to me who shuts themselves off, it's just frustrating, nonetheless I generally take the advice of Charles de Gaulle the French resistance leader, people have interests not friends, and therefore you have to be careful to maintain a degree of independence from them.

Because I'll probably find flaws in the guy and feel bad about making a bad decision.

NO. Good sex > Masturbation but Bad sex < Masturbation.

By the time you find out if it was good or bad its too late lool

Some guys have masturbated so much, and for so long, that actually, only THEY can please themselves. So yes, it is all about him, and has nothing to do with you. He was being honest with you when he said it was him, but was probably too embarrassed to admit his actual problem. If you understand this, and you love him or have very strong feelings for him, you need to have an honest, non-confrontational talk with him. He probably is not any happier about this problem than you are. So don't make accusations, which will bruise his ego. Gently encourage him that the two of you see a sex therapist to address the problem. This is nothing new. It happens. Sometimes it can be fixed, other times there are workarounds which will be equally satisfying for both of you. When love is involved, all things are possible. Addressing this problem without aggression will help strengthen your emotional ties overall. Good luck to both of you.
