I don't think a guy has to be gay or bisexual, just needs to be satisfied sexually and he can't get it from a female.

I remember a documentary on BBC3 "How Gay Is Pakistan" where they explored exactly this - how straight men resort to sex with each other because there aren't many women who are accessible. The only type of "prostitutes" available in Pakistan are basically men who cross-dress as women and make a living out of doing things for men. The colloquial term for one of these cross-dressers is "khusra". The men who use khusras for pleasure are 100% aware that it's not a real woman, but rather a man dressed as one, and I suppose the fact they're dressed as women makes it easier for men to have sex with other men without thinking of themselves as gay.

It's true. There was a whole documentary about it on BBC3 a few months back. It's called "How Gay Is Pakistan?". I wouldn't be surprised if it's also common practice in other Islamic countries.

Where I grew up (Middle East), I was raped as a young teen by my older cousin who forced me to dress as a girl (I'm a guy) and he had all hetero adult porn on his computer and I believe he was naturally heterosexual.

Sexually repressed societies are definitely a factor in resorting to desperate and often criminal measures to gain sexual gratification.
