Sorry I don't but even if I did I don't think it would be wise for you to look at it before the mock as it won't be like that in the real one. Use it as a mock to see where you need to go from here, rather than a 'what can I remember from the mark scheme'.

Ah ok, sorry though I don't have it

If you have done all your mocks then your teacher should surely be able to give you a copy of the paper for you to try

Wise words. That's the worst thing to do. People have done that during my mocks and have gotten A stars but I guarantee that they won't get the same grade in the real thing. If you flop the exam. It's a good thing because if you've got nothing to learn then you're wasting your time. I know you'll feel bad not getting an A or A star for your mock but it'll tell you what you need to revise and what to DO in order to get that A star. Revise, revise and revise. Leave the rest in God's hands. My Mother always told me that hard work never fails and if it does. It simply wasn't meant to be.

Okay thanks I'll ask

Hey guys and girls. Do you mind helping me out. I've got 2 speaking questions to memorise. However, both of them focus on the conditional. This means that both of them tick off the 'This student know his conditional' box. Does that mean that if I just focus on one question of the conditional and make sure it's fantastic, I don't need to do the last question because it's just ticking the same box? Please help as soon as you can. Cheers.

I'm basically going to chuck in all of the A star vocab in question 8 and leave question 9.

Is this for an MFL? Because I do German and for you to get a tick in a box it has to be good throughout so I think it needs both of them to be good for you to get it
It's for French. The reason why I asked is because last time my teacher said that I don't need to do certain questions because it's just extra and I've already met the requirements for an A star. Thanks.

Ah right - to be honest your teacher probably know what you need to do better than I do - so listen to them instead. And good luck - I'm sure you'll do fantastically well

Thanks. I've sent him an email so I hope he responds in due time. I'm just going to memorise everything just in case. Best not to leave it to chance. Thanks again.

School bits:
Hi Everyone,

I'm in year 11 so I will be sitting my GCSEs in less than 100 days (eek). I also had mocks on the 22nd Feb so keeping this thread made sure I kept up with my revision. At the moment my targets and grades are:

(WJEC) English Language: A*
(WJEC) English Literature: A*
(Edexcel) Maths: A*
(OCR Gateway B) Biology: A*
(OCR Gateway B) Chemistry: A*
(OCR Gateway B) Physics: A*
(AQA) German: A*
(OCR Modern) History: A*
(AQA) Geography: A*
(OCR National) ICT: A*

Some of you may look at this and wonder how I can improve, but I set really high standards and in some of my mocks I have been getting 84/85 and scores like that, so I am working towards getting as high a mark as possible, and not just securing the grade.

Hopefully, if I can get the grades, I want to go on to college and study Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Geology.

Personal bits:
If you want a bit of background I've always been quite good academically (though I genuinely hate to admit it) but I believe it is down to the fact that I have severe Atopic Eczema (that the specialist said was the worst in 30 years) and because of this, I have found studying to be a worthy distraction. I also can't see out of my left eye which makes life interesting but I like it that way. If I can work hard enough, and get into University, I will be the first person in my family to do so, and considering my parents have barely any qualifications, this is definitely something I aspire to.

A few last words:
I am open to any advice or constructive criticism and I am happy to help anyone too.

If you want to find out more about me as a person I would be happy to post info and along the way, I will be detailing revision I have done, so if you would like to see pictures of it just let me know and I'll be happy to upload

Mocks (22nd Feb)
Here's the posts I made about the mocks I have just taken

i really hope you get the grades you want.:five:

I've read through your thread. You seem to be working quite hard. Keep it up.👍 i wish you all the best with your acquiring those grades. I'm sure you'll achieve them with the amount of work you're putting in.

Haha Thank you , i hope you get the grades you want too  What is your exam board for science?
I mean for science i just memorise things and things over and over again but if someone puts an exam paper in front of me i get like half right . I don't seem to understand why , i mean i know all the contents but i just can't get full marks some of the times . Do you know why?
Also when i do past papers , i usually do them then corrections but then i just memorise the mark scheme i just don't understand why the answer is the answer . Lol This is really confusing but i hope you understand me
Thanks

Yeah. I get you man. It's just practice I guess. Try not to memorise the mark scheme or if you're talking about how marks are awarded then that's ok. I suggest that you speak to your teacher if you need some advice regarding this. I'm doing Ocr 21st century.

Do you mind giving an example of where you don't understand the answer ?
