International Business or Human Resources Management?

Im stuck between choosing these courses. I've already chosen the 5 unis to apply for, which are: Leeds, York, Nottingham Trent, Loughborough and Sheffield Hallam. But I'm torn between the two courses. Which one is better? Which has more job prospects?

Hi there! I also applied to Leeds and will firm it this week but for Management with Marketing. I think you should choose the course you like best (you might have heard this sentence loads by now I suppose). I feel that if you choose Int business you get more of an insight of the business world + you will also study human resource management, every business degree has this module, I'm pretty sure:smile: I guess that after you finish you degree, you will have much more opportunities aka job prospects. Also, by choosing int business you will also have to learn a foreign language, which is pretty cool and useful.
The human resource management degree is much more in-depth ..whereas the int business one would give you a general idea of this topic Most of these degrees share the same modules, and if not, depending on the uni, you could still choose for example if you take human res management you can choose as optional/discovery modules the ones from international business.

Hi there.

I’m an international HR Director. I’m on here as my daughter is doing the same as you and looking at what to apply for next year. She’s looking at International Business/Management so I’ve looked at the course content for a lot of these courses.

I would encourage you to do the business course rather than the HR course. They cover a wide range of modules which will allow you to determine what other areas of business you may be interested in. I think it will also give you broader career choices at the end.
