I don't see any evidence that they did, especially when they were not part of the Ottoman Empire.
Let's embrace the "good" progressive parts of all cultures , and let's reject all the "bad" regressive parts of all cultures...

... errr I realise that's easier said than done.

Read any of Franklin rossevelt's memoirs or speeches and check out who he was referring to when he talked about Islamic dangers and middle eastern terrorists.

The UK is overwhelmingly White so of course many rapists will be White. There is however a disgusting epidemic of religious hate rape from Islamic gangs and immigrants from countries with inferior cultures. Muslims disproportionately rape more than other groups.

We have seen successful Multiculturalism in the UK. The UK has been the most successful country regarding integration and embracing foreign cultures and religions, and you can see this when looking at the fully accepted Afro-Caribbean community, the Chinese Community, the Sikh, Hindu and Buddhist communities.

This 'Islamic multiculturalism' however asks us to abandon and compromise the most basic principles of British civilisation and society, such as personal freedom and tolerance. We are expected to embrace divergence from Common Law by allowing independent Sharia courts. Tolerate the oppression of women and marital rape. We are told to try and 'understand' barbaric practices of slavery which remains an epidemic among the Islamic community.

How can we accept a community that is fundamentally opposed to things like Gay rights. A community that largely wants us to revert to medieval laws and morals.

In the 21st century food is business, not culture. All these foods and dishes would have been sold in Britain regardless of multiculturalism.


Multiculturalism is okay, but not at the expense of British values that have formed from hundreds of years of scientific and societal advancement and personal freedom. Most groups have accepted British values. It is the fascism of Fundamental Islam that has lead to intolerance and these terror attacks.

But stopping white people raping would do more to help than stopping Muslims from raping

No culture is inferior
It has positives and negatives

I absolutely contest this.

Cultures that tolerate fascism, hatred, genital mutilation, corrective rape, stoning and execution for religious crimes, slavery, genocide and the sort are deeply inferior. I'm thinking of Northern Africa where all of these factors are true and the Middle East where oil-money has slightly hidden these from outside view.

European CULTURE is superior regardless. The end of slavery, the public sharing of knowledge through publishing scientific journals, democracy, freedom of the press, modern day charity, social welfare - all of these are European advancements brought about most likely by a Christian heritage that has since been malleable and tolerant enough to accept new, humane practices.

Sold, oh yes. There's a café in Tower Hamlets called 'Fika' which serves those enamoured by the Nordic fad. To me it just serves expensive coffee and cake. But business.

You can't tell me our relationship with South and East Asian cuisine has absolutely nothing to do with multiculturalism.

That's Franklin Roosevelt, doesn't prove that South Asian Muslim nations identified as Middle Eastern.
