Is it really important to firm an offer now? Nobody has told us anything about it at college. Is it really first come first serve for accommodation?


first you should do a research about the universities and be sure which one to firm.

I'm just saying that a lot of people have already applied for accommodation from the very first day the residence office has opened. I think for Cardiff it was around 9 February (i'm not sure) so probably a lot of students will have applied by now.

log into Cardiff University SIMS , and click where it says university residences. It should open another page where you apply for accommodation
check there :smile:
oh and dont worry you will get an email about that

All of the taly options apart from south, liberty house and then just whatever was left but hopefully I'll get an ensuite room... what about you?

Since when? They don't start allocating halls until later on (I think they start handing out room offers in late May or June).

yeah, i meant that you submit your application and then wait until they process it and allocate you a room later on in the summer :smile:

Am I late to this? :biggrin: I'm going to be doing Media, Journalism & Culture at Cardiff.. I took a gap year and I'm so ready for Uni now! Is there an applicant facebook group? I'm not living in halls so want to get a head start on socialising :tongue:
