That's what I am saying. We are not going to stop all of the guns getting in of course, but we can certainly limit it. We make them as difficult as possible to buy.

Doesnt have anything to do with the EU , we cna do that already.

Yes it does because where do you think the guns are coming from?

But ,as we said earlier, we can search them better with more money.

You will have less money considering the economic shock that will happen upon exiting. If the money is there to be made people will smuggle.

If the will is there people will become martyrs and make bombs.

To stop terrorism you need to get the people thinking its more in their interest to belong rather than be a a terrorist.

I have researched this heavily, The EU stands to lose more from us leaving than we will lose. If anything, we will make money.

According to these, its up in the air a lot of it. Short term potentially and long term with FTAs we will do better provided we get a decent deal. We have the leverage for that deal.
We will lose short term then the rest is unknown. If we want access to the single market, then we may have to submit to the free movement of people, just as swttzerland is finding out.

Not according to those studies.

So you are saying there will be no short term economic shock>
You know we will be treated differently to switzerland in getting access to the single market?

OK you carry on with that.

There will be difficulties at the start and it will smooth out as things go on, like any relationship ending.

We probably will be treated differently from switzerland, norway and turkey are treated differently.

Go and read up on the Swiss and Norwegian experience . You should pay note to the current swiss negotiations.

I have read enough to know that norway is treated differently from Switzerland, they wouldn't make the distinction in the global counsel study if that wasn't the case.
The GC study was completed before the current Swiss negotiations, so unless they have time travel its not thing they could have taken into account. There is nothing in the conclusion that says anything new. Anyway back to the point you havent put forward any reasons why it will be safer or terrorism any less if we left the EU. Greater border protection we could do now if we believe that was the way to tackle terrorism.
It's funny to see people try and justify how we'd somehow be safer in the EU.
given recent spate of attacks, I think now more than ever we dont need to be out of the EU to curb immigration

Except the part where I have. I suggest you go and read the conversation again.

Over 2000 people were killed during the "Troubles" in Northern Ireland and the rest of Britain when terrorists tried to force the UK government to let NI join the Irish Republic. Its didn't work because we do not give in to terrorists.

Are you saying we should be railroaded into a decision to leave the EU because of terrorists even though leaving the EU would do nothing to make the UK any safer because ISIS don't give a monkey's ass about whether the UK is in the EU or not?

Oh look someone else looking to just the past and present and not the future. Completely invalid point again and just goes to show how unprepared some are willing to be just to not admit they are wrong.

You are right, the British govt resists the IRA for 30 years then caves in to ISIS for no apparent reason.
