OCR mechanics helpp

I'm stuck on q 5 on the OCR November 2002 paper. here's the question:
An object P of mass 0.2kg hangs by a string from a point O of the roof of a lorry. The lorry is moving horizontally with constant acceleration a m/s^2 and the string makes a constant angle of 8 degrees with the vertical. Find
i) the tension in the string
ii) the value of a

anybody know how to answer this???

Resolving forces vertically, you know that Tcos(8) = 0.2g, as there is no acceleration in this direction (forces up = forces down). Then resolve horizontally using F = ma. Does this help?
