I promise I'm not a troll. Cleanliness is very important to me.

1. Dump.
2 talk to him and get a compromise

Its worth talking imo, but dont sleep with him till youve had the talk and got a compromise you find accpetable.

Burping and farting he can stop quickly.
Being unridy would take willing on his part and much harder to change. Suggestuin above of no oing round to his place or suggesting tidyness is reallt importnat to you and see how he reacts. If everything else was good, then you could do a lot worse imo.
If I met a person for the first time and they burped & farted in front of me, I would lose interest immediately lol. 100 to 0.

It's not about them feeling comfortable in front of me. It's about how they conduct themselves and if they behave like a slob, sitting around farting then...no. lol.

I know what you mean; he is very sweet and I enjoy his company a lot. I just hope I can get him to see that things would be so much better if he cleaned his house. I feel like just arranging to meet him outside next time but he'll probably expect me to stay for longer than a day.

Yeah, he did it a few times but I found it gross. I thought that most people knew that doing these things in public is bad manners.

Tidy up for him wear that maids outfit you've been saving for just the proper occasion.

Lol I would be more likely to wear my maid outside for him as a reward for cleaning up, not the opposite.

Sorry my posts keep coming top anonymous What I was going to say was well couldn't you just give him one lesson first in your french maids uniform? Or does that cum after he's tidied up as well? If it was me I might be persuaded to tidy up. Depends....

Honestly do not sleeep with him unil you sort this issue out. Just say you like him but you have a real problem with his farting and burping plus you just arent used to being in a messy environment and it puts you off.

Maybe he doesnt socialise with people and soemtimes if you become a bit of a hermit its possible you forget about company.

Imo your chances are 90%+ for the burping etc and if he cnat change that then he deserves dumping.

The tidying will take a bit longer. Addressing it now whilst its not an issue gets a quicker resolution. If you pitch it right its hard for him to disagree i.e you are uncomfy and its getting in the way of your relationship rather than you trying to change him.

I don't know why my auto-correct changed "outfit" to "outside" :P

I could give him a little tease but don't want to lead him on too much. This is in case he refuses to make a compromise and things don't work out.

So what have you decided to do about your new acquaintance?

NO tease just talk to him like a grown up and see if hes able to listenand show some consideration for you.

I dont believe you shoul appease him with if you dont burp and fart, then Ill give you a snog and a quick flash.

Should be please dont burp and fart like that in front of me, it really puts me off you and makes me uncomfy. Do you behave that way in front of everyone?

Its not hard to ask he shows some basic manner. Its so solveable this situation and quickly.

I won't be seeing him again until next week. Will drop a few hints when I call him tonight but if the house is still like that when I visit then I will have to be upfront about how much it bothers me. It's a little early to tell how things will go.

Be careful you don't hurt his feelings.

Hopefully not; I know how to be tactful about these things

Really? I'd find it quite endearing that they're comfortable enough with themselves to be that open with me.

Compromise? Lulz, it's his house, what right does someone else have telling him how to live? If they lived together then sure... but they don't.

OP (and everyone else who obviously isn't ready for engaging in a mature relationship): people fart. It's a thing. Sometimes they're smelly, sometimes they're loud, but they're always funny (unless they meet the definition of a surprise, ie; a fart with lumps. In which case, it can either cease to be funny or be the funniest story you will ever tell anyone ever, depending on the circumstances).

We don't live in an era where people should feel ashamed for popping one off in front of their partner, therefore it's pretty much a non-issue. If you can't accept that, and want someone to leave the room whenever they need to engage in natural bodily functions (within the context, people. I'm not suggesting him dropping a steaming pile on the coffee table wouldn't be an issue), then good luck getting your partner to take you seriously.

Compromise is what people do when they have difference byt want to reach a settlement. Ofc he can say its his house and he will fart and burp in her face as much as he wants, but then its hardly going to endear him. She then dumps him and finds someone who can be a bit more considerate.

He gets to burp and fart alone. What a winner.

What if it was someone who you have only known for a few months and just met in person? Would you be OK with farting in front of him/her?

Fair enough you don't mind it but this is something that I don't even do in front of my own family members and none of my exes have done in front of me. I think that it's considerate to go somewhere else to do it.
