Ah I see. Thank you for this.

Do you think examiners would have an issue with using the stuff we're learning at A2 in our AS exams? For example could we say an advantage of specialisation is that it offers opportunity for economies of scale? Or etc.

Would stuff like that get acknowledged do you think?

I don't see how they wouldn't be able to give credit for things that are correct. Just don't go over the top and it should be fine

I don't see how specialisation and economies of scale can be used for a micro or macro AS OCR paper. In micro for the 18 marks question you need to make sure you are mentioning key words to go from L3 to L4 (e.g. market failure and overconsumption/overproduction, allocative efficiency/inefficiency )

Specialisation has come up as a 4 mark question a couple of times in F581 (micro), asking about the advantages and disadvantages. I only gave those as examples anyway, I was just wondering if we could use stuff form A2 in our AS papers. Another example; talking about comparitive advantage and etc.

Ah so I wouldnt be able to get to L4 without key words? That's great to know

Thanks!

I was referring to the 18 marks question. Comparative advantage is not part of the AS specification. The danger of mentioning different terms is that you may lose track of what the question is asking you. The mark scheme is quite pedantic (especially in unit 1) for long answer questions. For evaluation there is more scope to add A2 knowledge but the emphasis should be reaching L4.

I'm not retaking but happy to help if anyone needs it, got 100 in both modules last year  good luck everyone!

Well done, what a great mark! What structure did you use to achieve full marks in each question, preferably focus on the national economy F582

Hope you had a good holiday. Can you tell me your structure to answering the 2, 4, 5, 6... marked questions? To make sure you gain all the marks. Thankyou for your time

Based on recent past papers any guess to what the 18 marker will be? I think it will be regulation...
Our teacher thinks regulation too

I'd love it to be something to do with AD but I agree with you, regulation or exchange rates, probably something nasty seeing as it's the last EVER F582 exam 😭😭
