does anyone know the main points that i have to know about sound waves that are likely to come up on a exam question

Sound waves are longitudinal waves

look in the spec

The Spec and CGP books will help.

This is what you need to know (from the spec)

-they are longitudinal
-cause vibrations in a medium which are detected as sound
-echoes are reflected sound waves
-pitch is determined by frequency
-volume is determined by amplitude

I'd say they may come up in context, make sure you know these key facs that are mentioned in the specification and you will be fine . :smile:

Hope she is right about co2 and renewable energy source but wrong about waves and sound waves
